Synthetic Web Slings
Synthetic Web Slings are cost-effective, lightweight, versatile, and easily stored. In fact, they come in a variety of widths/thicknesses and are constructed of flat webbing that can be layered into plys. Furthermore, the more plys, the stronger the sling. On the whole, the most common sizes usually vary in widths of 1″, 2″, 3″ and 4″.
Flat Eyes – Type 3 Slings
Type 3 Slings are furnished with an eye or loop sewn on each end of the sling in a flat configuration to allow for passage through narrow spaces. Ultimately, slings 3″ or wider have tapered eyes unless specified otherwise.

In general, the rated capacities are in pounds. Additionally, type 4 slings 3″ or wider have tapered eyes unless specified otherwise.
